Baccalaureate Service
The AU United Methodist Chaplaincy provides a baccalaureate service for the University and its graduates. Graduates and their families are invited to attend the baccalaureate service, which will be held Friday, May 7, at 7:00 p.m. in the Kay Chapel.
The service will be a service of thanksgiving and celebration for our graduates, their families, and their instructors. It will consist of hymns, prayers for the graduates, and a brief reflection by Rev. Mark Schaefer, AU's United Methodist Chaplain. Any graduating student wishing to participate in the service, through the reading of prayers, scripture lessons, or singing or playing music, should e-mail Rev. Schaefer at schaef@american.edu.
The service is ecumenical and open to everyone and will be concluded in plenty of time for the Toast to Graduates.
